DWS closes two more Vaal dam sluice gates, four to remain open
After closing two sluice gates at the Vaal dam on Thursday, another two will be closed on Friday.

On Thursday, the water inflows registered at 783.59 m³/s and the water level at 114.89%.
One sluice gate will be closed at 10h00 and another at 16h00.
As water levels at Bloemhof dam, where five radial gates remain open at different release levels, water releases have been gradually reduced to 2 400 m³/s and will be reduced again at 12:00 to 2 100 m³/s.
The dam stood at 113.09% on Friday, compared with 115.13% on Thursday.
